The Yagya begins with a full series of Ganesha yagyas. |

First, a full puja was performed (as above) which included the 1008 names of Ganesha. |

Then the fire yaya (homam) was performed with all the traditional ingredients; coconut, puffed rice, turmeric, sesame seeds, dates, and 1008 sweet modaka balls as seen in the photo below. |

The final offering is called poornadhuti and is tied in a bundle of cloth which is then offered into the yagya fire. Here you see dates, coconut, puffed rice, sesame seeds and betel leaf. |
