Your participation at $13/day for a total of 19 days of yagyas includes the special 111 priest yagya. Additionally, the priests in Varanasi will be performing a special moksha puja for the maha sponsors as their gift in thanks for your support. 5 Day Shiva and Parvati Peace and Harmony Yagya ($75) This yagya is an intense series of daily Rudra Abishekam and Rudra Homam for Shiva and additional Vedic yagyas for Parvati. The first 4 days of yagyas are performed by 16 pundits, and the final day, which takes place on the Full Moon is performed by 111 priests. Maximum power! The focus on the individual level is for personal enlightenment and the development of deep spiritual silence, coupled with an increased sense of personal power and success in daily life. All Shiva/Parvati yagyas radiate a powerful peaceful influence both individually and throughout the universe. While we can not measure this influence directly, at least philosophically it is another reason to make this gesture towards the dvelopment of peace in our world. Ancestor Yagyas ($51) Traditionally, Varanasi is a special place for the performance of yagyas to ensure the spiritual and material support of previous family generations. 3 Day Durga, Saraswati, Lakshmi and Ganga Yagya ($35) In addition to Shiva, Varanasi is a special place for the goddesses in all forms. For these three days the focus will be on Durga, Saraswati, and Saraswati (above left photo) and on the final day, the Ganga. This yagya is for prosperity, personal power, and abundance in all forms. Anadanam - Gifting of Food Yagya ($27) Varanasi is a very special place for Shiva and Parvati. At one time they made a deal with each other, if Shiva agreed to attend to the enlightenment of people, Parvati in the form of Annapurni, the goddess of food, promised to make sure everyone who is working towards enlightenment would be fed. In this yagya, we offer food to a local school (patasala) where young boy are studying to become Vedic Pundits. htey lead a fairly simple life, so this meal is a special treat for them. In the second part of the yagya, we feed a group of very special sanyasi. Their blessings are very powerful! Thursday and Friday, September 27, 28 |
