Saturn and Mrytunjaya/Shiva Yagya - August 19, 20, 25, 26, 27August is the month when Saturn has changed signs and is returning to strength in the sign of Leo where he will join Ketu for quite a while. This is a challenging time in some ways because both these planets strip away all illusion in service of the development of higher truth and realization. This is a valuable time for spiritual growth which in turn supports out material life. Saturn and Ketu are not easy energies to accomodatae, and our goal with these yagyas is to soften their effects so that the changes and growth they bring will be smoother and easier. This yagya series includes 3 days of Saturn/Ketu yagyas (8/19, 8/25, and 8/26) to provide balance and smoothness to the manifestation of these planets. In addition, we include 3 days of Shiva/Mrytunjaya yagyas to bring inner strength, peacefulness, and stability. Shiva in his form as Dakshinamurti is the guru who gives enlightenment and in his form as Kalabhraiva rules over time. Saturn is the planetary ruler of time, particularly the span of life we are granted. So it is Shiva who can best control and put to good use the influence of Saturn. |

The arrival of Saturn in a new sign often brings some financial distress. In order to alleviate some of this effect, we are offering a special 3 part Lakshmi yagya series. The yagyas are intended to develop abundance in the form of the resources that we need to live a comfortable life; money, job, etc. Participants in the 3 month Lakshmi program are already enrolled in these yagyas. |

Particularly when repeated monthly, these yagyas result in the development of a strong and continued experience of spiritual protection and abundance. These yagyas are highly recommended for enhancing and deepening the effects of the other yagyas in the monthly series. They are called foundation yagyas because it is difficult to imagine what problems could not be solved if a few obstacles were removed (Ganesha) or we had either more physical resources, or a greater sense of satisfaction and abundance (Lakshmi). Mrytunjaya yagya offers participants assistance with a wide variety of problems; overall peace of mind, spiritual progress, and health or transitions. The yagya combines Ayush Yagya for long life with the Mrytunjaya Yagya for removal of fear. Mrytunjaya yagyas are also good for providing spiritual based support for health problems. This yagya is for Shiva, who wears the Moon in his hair and so, as the ultimate ruler of the planets, it is also good for balancing the effects of all planets particularly the Moon and Saturn (Sade Sati). This yagya is repeated three times monthly; twice in India and once in the US. Participants are automatically enrolled in all three yagyas. |

Subramanyam Yagya ($37) |

Subramanyam is Ganesha's brother and the younger son of Shiva. He is regarded as the "Divine General" and embodies the energy of Mars which when properly channeled gives rise to positive action, enthusiastic energy, optimism, and success. This yagya is particularly useful when times are difficult and you need a physical and mental energy boost to meet life's challenges. It is also good for those who have kuja dosa (Mars affliction) in their astrological charts as it will help to balance and harmonize interpersonal relationships. |

Sudarshana and Narasimha Yagya ($37) |

Sudarshana is Vishnu's weapon (a disc of light) and this yagya is used to remove severe or stubborn obstacles. It is particularly effective for enhancing the strength and power of those who are faced with conflicts, lawsuits, and specific or severe forms of opposition or troubles. Narasimha is the incarnation of Vishnu who also helps to remove obstacles, and specifically protects and enhances family harmony. The Sudarshana and Narasimha yagyas are always performed together with a Lakshmi yagya. It is a very effective "all purpose" yagya for removal of obstacles and promoting harmony in our life experience. |

Dakshinamurti is a unique form of Shiva in the role of teacher, or revealer of inner truth. It is an excellent yagya for those wanting to enhance and deepen their inner experiences through meditation, mantra japa or other spiritual practices. The yagya removes obstacles on the path to enlightenment and enhances the natural development of jnana (true knowledge). It is particularly effective when combined with the Mrytunjaya yagya series. Ganesha Yagya ($37) |

Ganesha is Vigneshwara; the lord of obstacles. He removes any obstacles which hinder our progress towards spiritual and material success. A Ganesha yagya is light and enjoyable and results in an increasing sense of support and protection. Long-term participants report that while problems in life don't completely disappear, effective and appropriate solutions arise more readily and are implemented with little resistance. This yagya is often combined with the Lakshmi and Navagraha yagyas (see above) because the combination of Ganesha and Lakshmi helps develop a balance between material and spiritual success which is supplemented by the Navagraha yagya. |

Everyone goes through difficult times and a navagraha yagya facilitates the resolution of difficult karmas and removes obstacles to our general success in life. They are supportive and life affirming yagyas that can remove the sometimes overwhelming weight of difficult circumstances. Since difficult times develop slowly, so it must be expected that they will dissipate gradually. Best results are obtained through repeated participation in this yagya over time. This yagya covers all nine planets in one five hour day of yagyas. If you would like more focus on a particular planet(s), then we recommend the Personal or Private Yagyas which will give you several hours of focused pujas, mantra japa, and a fire yagya at modest cost. Traditionally, once a year this yagya is said to have added power. To take advantage of this, we are repeating the yagya three times leading up to the Full Moon on August 2nd. The yagya develops peace and harmony between husband, wife, children and other family members of all generations. It develops and protects smoothness in our external circumstances and enhances enjoyment and our ability to live in balance and harmony. It is a gentle yagya that combines the protection of Vishnu with the fullness and abundance of Lakshmi. In the long run, as with all Vedic technologies, repetition is key to the development of strength and effectiveness. This yagya when repeated on a monthly basis develops a greater depth of experience resulting in increased individual power and longer lasting results from the yagya. |

Small Personal Yagya (2-3 hours/1 priest) ($75) |

A small personal yagya is similar to a private yagya, the difference being that it is performed by one priest rather than five. This form of yagya is intended to assist individuals who wish to address a specific area of concern either through several consecutive days of yagya or a single day repeated over a number of months. These yagyas can be very powerful because of the focused and dedicated nature of the performance. On your yagya day, your personal priest begins with a series of pujas (Ganesha, Kalasha, and Navagraha) followed by puja and mantra japa for your choice of planet or deity. A private yagya consists of a full day's dedicated effort on your behalf. Five of our most experienced priests will perform 5 hours of pujas and mantra japa followed by a full 1 to 2 hour fire yagya (homam). The focus of a private yagya can be particularly instrumental in lightening a difficult trend in life, solving a specific problem, removing a troublesome obstacle, or of dramatically deepening one's spiritual practices and experience of divinity. A no-charge jyotish consultation is available to assist you in the selection of the most appropriate and beneficial yagyas. Click here to request. On the day of your yagya, the priests begin by performing a series of pujas followed by 1008 japa repetitions of the mantra most appropriate for providing assistance from a spiritual perspective. This is followed by the the full 1 to 2 hour fire yagya (homam) featuring an additional 1008 mantra repetitions with the traditional offerings of ghee, herbs, special woods, grains, fruits and nuts into the yagya fire. Those who comit to the purchase of a private yagya for at least six months are included in the full yagya schedule during each month. In addition to the 1 day private yagya, you are included as full sponsors for the 10 day yagya series at no additional charge. The private yagya can change on a month to month basis. The only requirement is the minimum six month term. |
