Ganesha
1,008 Modaka Yagya ($11) Thursday, Feb. 12th.

This unique one day 6-7 hour yagya honors Ganesha as the remover of obstacles. In this yagya we offer 1008 sweet modaka balls, Ganesha's favorite food, into the yagya fire.  One modaka is offered with each of the 1008 mantras in the Ganesha Sahasranam.

Maha Rudra Yagya ($35)
11 Days Feb. 13th
through Feb. 23rd

This traditional yagya features 11 priests performing Rudra Abishekam 11 times each day followed by a full Rudra Homam (fire yagya) for 11 consecutive days culminating on Shivaratri.

Sponsorship of this yagya includes the Shivaratri Yagya as detailed below as well as the final Arunachala Yagya.

Shivaratri Yagya ($15)
Feb. 23rd
all day and night

This yagya takes place during both the day and night of Shivaratri. We will have events in both Kanchipuram and Varanasi.

In both locations there will be a traditional Rudra yagya followed by 11 repetitions of Rudram Abishekam as well as temple pujas throughout the night.

The day after Shivaratri Arunachala Yagya ($11)
Feb 24th

There are few places in South India more associated with Shiva than the Arunachala mountain in Tiruvanamalai. The day after Shivaratri we will have a full scale 5 priest yagya in the Arunagirinatha temple at the base of the mountain.
