Sani Peyarchi Yagya |

Sani Peyarchi Yagya In the vedic tradition, the time when a planet is changing signs, is ideal for the performance of yagyas to enhance, balance, and strengthen the influence of that planet. At long last, Saturn is moving out of Leo and into Virgo. This movement will be profoundly positive and will form the foundation for additional changes as the year progresses and Rahu/Ketu and Jupiter change signs during the balance of the year. And it all starts with Sani (Saturn). On a personal level, the yagya will enhance Saturn's positive values in our daily lives; discipline, structure, wisdom, integrity, spiritual non-attachment, humility, etc. The yagya will also greatly soften the less desirable aspects of Saturn; delays, depression, accidents, failure, etc. As my first Jyotish teacher used to remind us, "Nothing happens without the permission of Saturn or the blessings of Jupiter". This yagya will follow the traditional vedic format of an abishekam during which traditional liquid ingredients are poured over the deity's murti statue as vedic mantras are recited. Follow the link below to see a similar yagya for Jupiter that was performed earlier in the year.
