Navaratri is one of our most elaborate yagya series. It honors the Divine Mother in the form of Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. During the entire festival, our priests perform an elaborate Chandi (shakti or goddess) yagya for 5-6 hours in the morning, followed by 2 hours of evening pujas in which the entire Chandi Path text is recited along with the 1008 name (sahasranam) of Lalitha; the most beautiful form of the goddess.

We extend our yagya offering by including a full day for Ganesha before Navaratri starts, and special pujas for Saraswati who is honored on Vijaya Dashami; the day of victory on October 16th. Join us!

25 Day Navagraha Yagyas
Friday, October 8 - Sunday, October 31 ($27)

Starting with our day devoted to Ganesha (Oct 8th) we begin our monthly Navagraha Yagya program which will continue through the balance of October, ending on the 31st.

Each day's yagya begins with a complete Ganesha and Navagraha pujas, followed by 1008 repetitions of the Vedic mantra for the planet of the day.  On the final day of the Navagraha Program, the pujas are more elaborate and are followed by an extensive Navagraha homam (fire ritual), conducted by five pundits.
