7 Day Ganesha Yagyas
($35)

Ganesha is the vedic deity who removes obstacles and smooths our path through life as we progress towards greater prosperity and enlightenment. Traditionally, Ganesha is a vital part of every yagya and is always invoked at the beginning of every puja and yagya. He is known as Vighneshwara, the one who removes all obstacles and so he assures the success of the yagyas and the delivery of the results to the participants.

In India Ganesh Chaturthi marks the beginning of a 10 festival in his honor during which beautiful clay statues are made and then immersed in rivers and the ocean on the last day. This festival marks the begining of the fall harvest season and is the immediate precursor to Navaratri which begins in early October. So it is a particularly important time in the vedic year.

Ganesh Chaturthi takes place on September 12th. During the following 6 days we will feature five hour Ganesh yagyas each morning from 8 AM to 1 PM.

Ganesh yagyas bring removal of obstacles, promote greater mental clarity and sense of purpose, and success in business and educational activities.

21 Day Navagraha Yagyas ($27)

Starting on Ganesh Chaturthi (Sept. 12th) we begin our Navagraha Yagya program and it continues through the end of the month. Each day begins with a complete Ganesha and Navagraha puja, followed by 1008 repetitions of the vedic mantra for the planet of the day.  Then the priests have two hours of vedic recitations from Yajur Veda.

Shiva/Rudra is honored with an extensive abishekam (ritual bathing). Then the program continues with 108 repetitions of various Ganesha mantras including Ganesh Upanishad. The yagya sequence concludes with the perfomance of homam (the vedic fire ritual) for Ganesha, Navagraha, Shiva, and the three goddesses (Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati).

On the final day, the pujas are more elaborate and are followed by an extensive Navagraha homam, conducted by five pundits.
