Complete Recitation of the Yajur Veda

The Yajur Veda dates back around 1000 BCE and consists of the procedures and details for most yagyas including two versions of the Soma Yagya, the Agni Hotra, Ashvamedha Yagya, the Sarva Medha Yagya, and special yagyas for our ancestors. This Veda also contains Rudram and Chamakam - the special hymns for Shiva, as well as the Mrytunjaya Mantra and the Gayatri Mantra.

The effects of this yagya are profound and gradually increase our ability to realize our goals and aspirations, both spiritual and material. The series has naturally positive influence on our family and previous generations (Pitr Yagya) and our spiritual growth (Soma Yagya), health (Rudram and Mrytunjaya Yagya) and overall success in life (Ashvamedha Yagya).

The yagya will be performed over a 10 day period of time with vedic recitations in both the morning and evening and integrated into the Lakshmi Yagya that is bing performed during the same 10 days. The combination of the two yagyas is quite rare. In combination it develops the experience of abundance, both spiritual and material.

10 Day Lakshmi Yagya
($51 for all ten days; June 15 - 24)

Lakshmi is more than money; she is abundance in all forms, family, wealth, happiness and enlightenment. The Rig Veda contains the asupicious and revered Sri Suktam; the primary long form mantra for Lakshmi. This month we focus on Lakshmi and Sri Suktam because the previous 6 months of yagyas have been primarily spiritual in nature, so now we focus on attracting more material abundance.

Performing Lakshmi yagyas now is particularly important because June is the month that Saturn starts to slow and then stops on July 8th, and then returns to forward motion. This marks the beginning of a new and productive phase and a lessening of the inertia and obstacles that many have been experiencing during Saturn's retrograde motion. AS we all know the time to perform yagyas is before the astrological event. Now is when the universe is lintening!

June is an appropriate and advantageous time to focus on abundance (Lakshmi) and progress (Saturn) and the yagya program is designed to maximize both.

Every day during the 10 day yagyas, our priests will recite Sri Suktam for a total of 1,000 repetitions during the 10 Day program.
