Ganesh Chaturthi 1000 Fruit Yagya
September 17-26, Kanchipuram
Ganesha is the remover of obstacles and thus plays a major role in our enjoyment of life through material and spiritual success. Ganesh (or Vinayaka) Chaturthi celebrates his birthday and it is felt that at this time he is receptive to prayers and yagya offerings and gives his blessings freely.
This is our most festive and elaborate Ganesha yagya with offerings of 1,000 sweet modaka coconut treats and 1,000 offerings of fresh fruit starting on Ganesh Chaturthi, his birthday; September 17th and continuing daily through the 26th, .
The purpose of these yagyas is to promote the enjoyment of a satisfying and enlightened life. Ganesha is the foundation of that process because he removes the obstacles that obstruct fulfillment. As such, this yagya is the ideal match with the 50 priest Lakshmi yagya which brings us the experience of abundance in all forms.

Maha Narayana Upanishad, Enlightenment Yagya
September 17-26, Kanchipuram
Seetharama Sastry, our chief priest for all Puja.net activities, recommended that the time would be ideal to perform the unique Maha Narayana Yagya in conjunction with the Ganesha and Lakshmi yagyas this month. This special yagya is performed specifically to support and stimulate progress towards enlightenment.
The yagya mantras come from the Taittiriya Aranyaka, also known as the Maha Narayana Upanishad, and is part of the Yajur Veda. The value of this yagyas lies in subtly removing the bad karmas (obstacles) to our spiritual growth. Over time, we enjoy the benefits of great inner peace, spiritual awareness, and contentment.
The yagya will consist of the priests reciting the entire text of the Maha Narayana Upanishad every day for the duration of the yagya. On the last day the mantras will be recited one final time, along with offerings of ghee made into the sacred yagya fire.

50 Priest Lakshmi Yagya
September 16th, in Pune, India
A pundit once explained to me that yagyas are like knocking on the door of the divine asking for our desires to be fulfilled. You have to knock, he said, and knock and knock. More priests means more mantra repetitions and that means greater yagya power. A 50 priest yagya is a rare opportunity to build the foundation for greater wealth and overall abundance in life.
