Saturn and Navagraha Yagyas

This month, Seetharama Sastry, our chief priest will travel to southern Tamil Nadu to the Kumbakonam region to perform planetary yagyas for us in the area's ancient and very famous Navagraha temples.

Three full days will be spent on Saturn Yagyas at the Saturn temple in Tirunalar (above), and an additional four days will be spent performing yagyas at individual temples for each of the remaining eight planets.

The last three days of the 10 day series will take place in Kanchipuram with temple yagyas for Shiva, Lakshmi/Saraswati, and recitation of the powerful Chandi Path protective mantra in a beautiful countryside Durga temple.

These yagyas are the second stage of our three month yagya series that began in April and which will conclude with at Lakshmi yagya series in June featuring a 100 priest Lakshmi yagya in Pune.

Saturn continues to be retrograde through the beginning of August, and these yagyas are intended to reduce his restrictive and uncomfortable influence and to maximize his positive effects.

Projects that are begun and major decisions that are made when Saturn is retrograde have a tendency to encounter serious obstacles and may not work out as we envision.This is a great time to spend time thinking about where we are headed and to plan the changes necessary to bring greater freedom and satisfaction to our life.

These yagyas will work to enhance that process and to remove obstacles to a successful accomplishment of our spiritual and material ambitions.
