Our August yagya program included the 10 day recitation of the 10,000 verse Rig Veda, plus everything else we did for Guru Poornima and the Eclipses. Our priests and pundits feel this is an exceptionally powerful foundation for the upcoming three month series that we've planned for August, September, October.
We will be focusing on supporting and protecting our families through the goddesses; Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. In September we will be focused on Ancestor Yagyas in Varanasi and in October we come back to the goddesses for Navaratri - the nine nights of the goddesses.
The goal of this yagya program is to strengthen family ties, reduce tensions, and support long term health, success, prosperity, and of course, enlightenment for everyone in our family.
In the vedic tradition, Kanchipuram is an exceptionally special place for yagyas to be performed. The temples are ancient and contain the power of countless repetitions of mantras, pujas, and yagyas.
Our program this month will take place in a wonderful temple that we first used for Shivaratri. This temple is unique in that it contains all three goddesses - Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. It is extremely rare to have all three in one temple.
We will also have our two day, 50 priest Lakshmi Yagya in Pune on Thurs/Fri August 16th &17th.
Our mystical yagya this month will focus on the 10 goddesses of the Shakti trandition. These are the 10 forms of the Divine Mother who have many interesting powers. (more on this in a separate newsletter). It is exciting (and rare) to be able to offer access to these special yagyas because they require specially trained pundits.
Participants in these yagya programs report that they enjoy a sense of protection from the obstacles and usual ups and downs of daily life. Spiritual growth is enhanced which results in increased abundance and enjoyment of life. |
