Birthday Yagya Program

A person's birthday is a special day in the vedic tradition and an important time for a yagya.

Astrologically it is the time when the Sun returns to the same place it was at the time of your birth. In the vedic system, beginnings are an important time at which we can positively influence the events that follow. So it is a very advantageous time to have a yagya performed.

Once a month we offer a free birthday yagya that consists of pujas and havan (fire yagya) for Ganesha (to remove obstacles), Lakshmi (for prosperity), Navagraha (with a special segment for the Sun), and Ayush (for long life).

For a more focused effect you can have the yagya performed as a private yagya with 5 priests for 3-4 hours. The list of yagyas is the same, but the pundits are chanting for you alone. Those who particiapte in the private yagya will also be enrolled in the Kanchipuram daily yagya program for one month.
