Private Yagyas

There are times when more focused yagyas are appropriate and needed to solve more demanding or special situations. We offer a variety of yagyas that are performed exclusively for individuals or families. All of these yagyas are performed in either the ancient temples of Varanasi, or at our private yagya facilities there.

Navagraha Yagyas:

Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu or all planets at once.

Deity Yagyas:

Any of the yagyas listed in the subscription series can be performed as a Private or Personal yagya. In addition we offer the following yagyas which are used to meet specific situations and which require special training for the pundits.

Ganesha, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Durga, Parvati, Chandi, Kali, BhoomiDevi, Shiva, Dakshinamurti, Kala Bhairava, Mrytunjaya, Vishnu, Venkateshwara, Krishna, Rama, Hanuman, Sudarshana, Lakshmi/Narasimha, Ganga, Honoring Ancestors, Dhanvantri.

Special Yagyas;

Solving health problems for children
Winning lawsuits or settling disputes
Finding a marriage partner
Obtaining a job
Performing well in examinations or tests
Extreme illness or impending end of life transitions
Empowering medical treatment
Overcoming depression and developing mental peace
Maintaining or restoring family harmony

A private yagya is performed by five priests or more priests, and a personal yagya is performed by one. On your yagya day, your priest begins with a series of pujas (Ganesha, Kalasha, and Navagraha) followed by puja and mantra japa for your choice of planet or deity.  This is followed by a fire yagya (homam) that repeats the sequence of pujas.

Small Private Yagya (2-3 hours/1 priest) ($125)

This form of yagya is intended to assist individuals who wish to address a specific area of concern either through several consecutive days of yagya or a single day repeated over a number of months. These yagyas can be very powerful because of the focused and dedicated nature of the performance.

Large Private Yagya (5 hours/5 priests) ($300)

A private yagya features five of our most experienced priests performing five hours of pujas and mantra japa followed by a full one to two hour fire yagya (homam).

The focus of a private yagya can be particularly instrumental in lightening a difficult trend in life, solving a specific problem, removing a troublesome obstacle, or of dramatically deepening one's spiritual practices and experience of divinity.  A no-charge jyotish consultation is available to assist you in the selection of the most appropriate and beneficial yagyas. On the day of your yagya, the priests begin by performing a series of pujas followed by 1008 japa repetitions of the mantra most appropriate for providing assistance from a spiritual perspective.  This is followed by the the full one to two hour fire yagya (homam) featuring an additional 1008 mantra repetitions with the traditional offerings of ghee, herbs, special woods, grains, fruits and nuts into the yagya fire.

Those who commit to the purchase of a private yagya for at least six months are also included in the "maha" yagya program during each of the six months.  In addition to your private yagya, you are included as full sponsors for all group yagyas that are performed during the month at no additional charge.  The private yagya can change on a month to month basis.  The only requirement is the minimum six month term.
