Yagya Schedule

Lakshmi/Ganesha/Subramanyam Yagyas ($45)
March 21 - March 23

Friday, March 21 (Lakshmi Temple Yagya)
Saturday, March 22 (Ganesha Temple Yagya)

Sunday, March 23 (Subramanyam Temple Yagya)

In Kanchipuram there are literally hundreds of ancient temples where pujas and yagyas have been done for many many years, sometimes measured in the thousands of years. This month we are going to have our special yagyas in three of these temples for Ganesha, Lakshmi, and Subramanyam. Our priests will prepare a special event for the temple including all the traditional ingredients for an abishekam (milk, yogurt, sandalpaste, plus fresh decorations and flower malas) and the vedic fire yagya called homam.

Lakshmi is first on Friday, because we all want to feel abundance in all forms; wealth, spiritual happiness, family, etc. Lakshmi yagyas balance the energy of Venus, the planet of enjoyment.

These days, with Saturn moving backwards (retrograde) obstacles are springing up all over the place, and a Ganesha yagya will help to smooth things out by reducing obstacles. One of the 1008 name of Ganesha is "Vigneshwara", the remover of obstacles. So Ganesha is second on Saturday, Saturn's day.

Mythologically, Subramanyam is the divine general and the personification of Mars. A yagya for him will tend to enhance our energy level and bring greater insight and optimism. Subramanyam concludes the sequence on Sunday, the beginning of a new week.

The combination of these three days of temple yagyas should bring a greater sense of inner contentment, along with more success in our daily life and the energy to go with it.

Three days of temple yagyas to remove obstacles (Ganesha), support greater abundance (Lakshmi) and develop energy and intelligence (Subramanyam). Each day will be performed in one of the ancient temples in Kanchipuram, South India and will feature a full set of pujas, an abishekam (liquid) and vedic fire yagya.

Combine the 3 day temple yagyas with 1 month of daily yagyas (details here) from March 21 through April 20 ($108)
